Testimonials to Steve House schutzhund training helper
"I would like to thank Steve
House for his excellent helper work with my dog Iwo,
who was on the FCI team in 2004, (Alternate). Without
Steve’s commitment to us, we could not have been
so successful. Steve has been Von Ausland’s personal
helper for 2 years now, and we are very grateful to
him for his unselfish dedication to Iwo and me, and
the other dogs at Vom Ausland Kennels."
"Thanks Steve for your
excellent work. I would recommend your helper work and
loyalty to anyone who needs it."

"I met Steve House for
the first time at the WDA Sieger show in NC a couple
of years ago. I was a rookie then with my first titled
dog. Ok, so I’ve been in Shepherds for 38 years
now and I’ve bred or owned 10 American, 6 Canadian
and now what amounts to 3 well honored German dogs.
Still, I had no experience on what to expect from my
dog or myself at this show.
Though my friend Bogdan had been
helping me train right up to the actual moment I had
to go in the ring with Enzo, it was Steve House; while
watching me training during the week, fumbling awkwardly
with the leash and the commands, who came up to me after
Bogdan and I finished and said, “You know, I’m
a helper too, maybe I could work with you and give you
some tips on what you’re doing wrong. Would you
be interested?” Well, I jumped at the chance.
Now I can’t say, that it was just Steve’s
help that helped Enzo pass with a very pronounced rating,
but his kind words and advice sure helped me a lot.
Last year at the WDA Sieger Show in
Madison , the first people I saw at breakfast the morning
after I arrived was Steve. Somehow just being around
him makes you feel good. He knows dogs. He loves working
with the dogs and if one of his “students”
has a bad day, he suffers worse than the owner of the
dog.
Steve helped me work with Zamp this
time. Every morning and every night he offered his services
to “calm my nerves”. Finally, one morning
he said, “Put the dog away, he’s fine. You
however, need a few stiff ones to relax!” I took
his advice, and the following morning Zamp didn’t
disappoint either of us. In fact, he went on to get
the coveted VA rating!!
Guess what, the first guy to come up and shake my hand
after the placings was Steve. He made me so proud when
he said, “Congratulations Frank, I’m so
happy for you. I consider you one of the “little
guys”, not much money, just hard work and a lot
of hope.” No, I can’t say that Steve's training
will make your dog go VA, but what the heck, it just
might be all your dog or you need."

"I can, and often do, highly
recommend Steve as both trainer and
handler for show quality German Shepherd Dogs.
He is fair and honest in his evaluation
of the dog and the dog's
capabilities and won't sit back and take your money
month after month if
he feels Schutzhund training is not in the dog's best
interest. Anytime my
dogs have been in his care, I feel safe and comfortable
in knowing the
dogs are with him.
As well as working hard at training,
he is also wonderful about giving
the owner frequent updates and progress reports. There
is never a time when
you can't call and see how things are going.
The quality of the training that the
dog receives is absolutely wonderful
Full, calm, strong grips; clean obedience procedures
and clean retrieves.
As well as Schutzhund training, Steve
is excellent at ring
training for the show ring. I know that he will do his
very
best to help the dog present itself in the best way
possible.
His help has been invaluable to us
and we appreciate what he does, so very
much."
